Welcome to HyperhidrosisCures.com, your #1 source for coping with excessive sweating of the body. I have been suffering from hyperhidrosis ever since I was a child. Ofcourse, since I was always playing and running around as a kid, my parents never took notice of my condition because I guess they figured I was just a hyper kid. However, as I grew into a teenager and began interacting with other teens, especially the opposite sex, my condition began to affect my self consciousness and esteem.
I was terrified of meeting new people because of the excessive sweat I would undergo. I would create wet spots on my shirt around the armpit area which made me feel really uneasy. Not to mention the embarassments I would go through when I would shake someone's hand. I could tell that my excessive sweaty hands would immediately disgust whomever was greeting me. It was not fun or funny having to live with this condition for so many years and I am sure you would agree which is why you are here.
Hyperhidrosis is the medical name given to the condition of excessive sweating. Keep in mind that it is normal for the body to prespire under certain circumstances such as exercise or being exposed to high temperatures. Stressful encounters and situations may also lead to sweating. This normal function is caused by the rising of the internal bodily temperature which triggers the sweat glands found in our skin. However, there is a much higher amount of sweat glands found in certain areas of the body such as the palms of the hands, the balms of the feet, armpits and around the genital areas. While most people's autonomic nervous system response in the sweat glands does not cause excessive prespiration even in these highly concentrated areas, those suffering from hyperhidrosis possess a hyperactive response to stress. This ofcourse leads to the excessive sweating that we are all familiar of. The interesting part is that hyperhidrosis patients maintain a normal response to exercise and high temperature, meaning they do not sweat excessively under these conditions. Stressful encounters seem to be the main cause of excessive sweating.
It is unfortunate that we fall under the 1% of adults that suffer from hyperhidrosis which is the main reason why I designed this site. I have touched up on all the many cures of hyperhidrosis including treatment for palmar hyperhidrosis, plantar hyperhidrosis, axillary hyperhidrosis, and facial blushing. Although excessive sweating of the hands seems to be the most common and yet the most difficult to control, there are plenty of treatments to cure hyperhidrosis that you can learn about in this site.
